Getting ready for this weekend’s Eat Real Festival?
It’s going to be a 3 day feast of sensory overload: food, drinks, music, workshops. Along those lines, we’ll participate in multiple ways to the party.
Friday 9/21
- Craft Marketplace (1 to 9PM): Baia Pasta stand at the Craft marketplace
As an extension of our retail location at Jack London Square, we’ll be selling our pasta and a few complements like Omnivore Salt, Tulipani spices etc etc within the Craft Marketplace @ ERF. We’ll have many cuts in 1/2 lb bags at special price, so you can try as many cuts and flours as you wish without breaking the bank. Moreover, we’ll bring a few specials such as tomato/basil macs and tomato nutshells, our current best seller.
- Craft Marketplace (6:30 to 9PM): Mac’n’cheese
Our take on the famous American favorite will be served for the masses. Durum wheat semolina nutshells smothered in a luscious sauce of cheddar (sharp and mild), monterey dry jack and parmigiano. Our aim is to beat the personal record we set in 2010 when we first served Mac’n’cheese to the public at Iso Rabin’s underground market. We’ll bring something like 300+ portions of it (our biggest effort to date). Don’t miss this!
Saturday 9/22
- Craft Marketplace (1 to 9PM): Baia Pasta stand at the Craft marketplace
Full day at our booth within the Craft Marketplace. Stop by and load us with your questions. We’re there to talk wheat all day ^_^ Ah well, right, we have gluten-free as well. So, we can chat non-wheat too.
Sunday 9/23
- Craft Marketplace (1 to 9PM): Baia Pasta stand at the Craft marketplace
- DIY Classroom (12PM): Baia Pasta Factory Tour
Take a tour of our Jack London Square facility. Watch pasta being crafted, learn how the extruder machine works and all the tricks we have learnt in pasta-making. The Tour will meet at the DIY Classroom and head over our facility form there.
- Craft Marketplace (1 to 2:30PM): Jammin’ with Pasta
Oh my! Yes, we’re pushing the boundaries of our Italian background and venturing into an eclectic pairing. We’ll be serving a pasta dish with greengage plums jam from Blue Chair Fruit. We aim to hit all notes in your mouth. Be ready!
Besides, Greengage plums real name is “Prunus domestica subsp. italica var. claudiana”. Go figure! Italian plums, italian pasta…bingo.
We hope to see you all there! Let’s have fun!
